About Daver Steels
Daver Steels design, machine, assemble and load test structural tie rod and compression strut systems at our works in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Our technical department offers assistance to architects, designers, structural steel fabricators and end users.
Daver Steels Bar & Cable Systems manufacture the Daver Tie Rod system and the Daver Compression Strut system. Both systems are high strength structural components with a high specification finish for constructional and architectural applications.
Daver Tie Rod System:
Daver Steels structural tie rod system is produced in carbon steel and stainless steel with a characteristic yield strength of 520 N/mm2 and are CE approved to Execution Class 3 (EXC3) BS EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011.
Daver Steels DST520 system provides a technical solution to your tie rod requirements. We have a wide range of experience with tie rod systems and can offer assistance to architects, designers, structural steel fabricators and end users.
Our standard range of fork end tie rods, complete with pins, lock covers and turnbuckles enables us to offer tension rod assemblies from:
- M12 to M100 in carbon steel
- M12 to M56 in stainless steel.*
*Other sizes available upon request.
DST520 tendons are pre-assembled in the factory and set to their nominal pin-to-pin length for immediate incorporation into the structure.
Daver Steels have the experience and expertise to manufacture special components and system arrangements for your specific needs.
Daver Compression Strut System:
Daver Steels manufacture a range of adjustable compression struts in carbon steel and stainless steel. Both systems are supplied with CE certification up to Execution Class 3 (EXC3) BS EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011
The compression strut comprises of a central tubular section with threaded fork-end and pin connection at each end.
The Daver Compression Strut system is available in:
- carbon steel from M12 to M100
- stainless steel system from M12 to M56.*
*Other sizes available upon request.

Custom parts from Beta Engineering Services Ltd
Beta Engineering Services Ltd is a precision CNC machining company in Goldthorpe and has owned Daver Steels since 2016. Beta can make any custom part a Daver project needs, machined to drawing.
Special forks, bearings, load pins and connection plates are turned and milled within the group. For the Ordsall Chord this allowed us to supply EU origin fork castings with 100% X-ray and NDT testing and 100% MPI testing of the M100 threads.
