To house the new National Assembly for Wales Richard Rogers team created a stunning building in the heart of the Cardiff Bay.

Daver Steels supplied SH Structures Ltd with the roof tie down bars and connections. This bespoke connection uses an M76 bar with specially machined fork ends that dovetail neatly into each other at the connection plate. The fork connection was machined from solid round bar, cross-holed, the central connection slot milled and the face machined to produce the joint.

A full paint specification was applied and the tendons assembled for erection on site.
