Pérez Art Museum Miami, Miami, FL, USA
A three storey building which sits on an elevated platform and beneath a canopy, both of which extend beyond the museum walls to create a shaded veranda and plazas. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron to respond to the city's climate and meet the requirements of the art museum.
The canopy supports hanging columns of lush vegetation. Designed by Patrick Blanc, the tropical plants create a multi-dimensional garden which forms part of the museum.
Daver Steels supplied Ronstan with galvanised tie rods, compression struts and connection plates. These were painted prior to despatch for installation into the structure.
